The India Semiconductor Workforce Development Program and related skilling efforts represent one of the department’s strongest examples of outward-facing impact. Built with major industry support, the program is designed to help address the semiconductor talent gap by creating serious training pathways in device technology, process understanding, TCAD, design, and associated electronic systems capability. This initiative extends the department’s role beyond traditional degree programs and positions ESE as an important contributor to national workforce development in semiconductors.
